History

Born in New Zealand in 1961, I learned piano from my Grandmother and studied French Horn and Composition with my Father.

Since 2017, I have been co-curating the SydneyMicroFest, which is a celebration of microtonal music.

Teaching is a significant aspect of my work.
I collaborate with schools such as
Inaburra School in Sydney, where I proudly developed a Beginners Band Program.

Experience

Chamber music credits include my ensembles,
LOCANA and Notos Quintet playing classical horn.

Recitals include EUROMicroFest2017 in Freiburg.

I have composed a number of ensembles, songs, and percussion, many of these compositions feature intervals from the harmonic series in extended just intonation.

I have held full-time playing positions with various Australian orchestras, such as Principal Horn at the Queensland Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since 2005, I have performed with most Orchestras in Australia, in regular performances with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra playing historical horns, Opera Australia Orchestra, and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
